Born in Shreveport, Louisiana but raised in Hawaii, Dr. Fong builds his practice on the foundation of ohana and southern hospitality. After a diverse and rigorous undergraduate education at University of Hawaii at Manoa, Dr. Fong, subsequently, received his medical degree from University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Due to academic excellence and surgical proficiency, Dr. Fong travelled the country through his surgical internship at The University Of Hawaii Integrated Surgical Residency Program and orthopedic residency at University Of Hawaii Integrated Orthopedic Residency Program doing rotations at Shriner’s Hospital in Missouri, Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, and Ranchos Los Amigos in California, working with only the best and brightest residents. It wasn’t until his Sports Medicine fellowship at Tulane did Dr. Fong find his true home, Louisiana.
Dr. Fong has nobly served his Slidell community as a board certified orthopedic surgeon for the past 18 years. In that time, he founded Southern Surgical Hospital, where he remains an active partner, and runs a weekend clinic for injured youth athletes.
